Why is Walmart telling me what cd’s I can buy?

This is a question you should be asking yourself. When I read a tweet that Chris Brown released yesterday, my first inclination was to say “Oh he deserves this for what he did, but then I thought about what he was saying and I found I tend to agree with him. He tweeted the following :”"what the f— do i gotta do…WTF… yeah i said it and i aint retracting s***. im not biting my tongue about s else… the industry can kiss my a–. ”They didn’t even have my album in the back,” Brown spit of the Walmart. “not on shelves, saw for myself. the manager told me that when there are new releases its mandatory to put em on the shelves.. BUT NO SIGN OF GRAFFITI.”

I am not a Chris Brown fan by any stretch of the imagination. It’s not that I don’t like him, it’s just his music does not translate to me and my generational tastes. (My children like his music.) However, I do feel that I and I alone should decide who I listen to. Walmart’s role in this is they provide distribution to artists, they should not decide who I am able to purchase.
Walmart shoppers should be very worried that they seem to be making moral decisions as to who they will sell but have no problem accepting the monies of Chris Brown fans on any other items. To me this is not fair.
Perhaps Brown could have picked a more eloquent way of expressing himself. Is he to be punished forever? He’s still a very young man. There is a chance for his redemption but if he continues to record and has no distribution because of stores like Walmart, he has no chance to redeem himself or make a living. I can understand how he would be angry at Walmart even though I know there are lots of people who think he is getting what he deserves. I disagree. Mr.Brown has done everything he could possibly do to try and make up for the incident with Rihanna. He’s paid his dues in a court of law, he’s apologized. Children who do wrong don’t get punished forever. Society is very harsh on people who make mistakes but everyone deserves a second chance. Walmart is unilaterally deciding he does not deserve one. Whether you are a fan or his music or not, a fan of him as a person or not you should be very angry that Walmart is making these sorts of decisions for you. Your money is good to them in all other situations but not when you want to buy something they don’t agree with? That’s just not right, that is censorship and the moment we start accepting this from Walmart or any other corporate entity without protesting it, then we are on a very slippery slope. There is no telling what Walmart could decide you don’t need or want, that you may indeed want.

are that much of a simpleton? Honestly there is a butt-load of music that you can’t get at wal-mart. It’s not a law that they have to carry everything crappy. I think you should be forced to buy every jonas brother album that is released. You can;t force sales stoopid.
That’s not even the point. Haggendazz..and no I’m not stupid but I think you might be. The entire point of this blog is, it doesn’t matter if you like him, his music, or any of that what matter is Walmart should NOT be deciding who you get to listen to. Their JOB is to stock the damned music, NOT decide who is going to buy what and then because THEY feel you shouldn’t buy something not stock it.
Again, never brought a Chris Brown record in my life. Probably never will but I like to have the right to buy the music that is released. I LIKE to decide what I want, I don’t need Big Brother Walmart deciding for me. Moron! (Since you started the name calling I’ll continue). YOU should be worried about a corporation that is deciding these things for you idiot.
